    Deanne started at Martin Smalley & Co as a paralegal in 1991 and worked her way up to the top! Until 1999 Deanne was head of the Family department but decided to retrain in Wills and Probate, the team she now heads. Deanne specialises in Wills and Probate, Powers of Attorney, Deputyship, Deeds of Variation, Declaration of Trust and matters relating to the elderly including Care home fees and transfers of Property.


    Over the years Deanne has supported many local and national Cancer charities raising much needed funds through walking, raffles etc. Outside of work Deanne loves nothing more than spending time with her children and grandchildren, boxing, gardening and watching Nottingham Panthers ice hockey team

Kathryn Hodgson

    Kathryn is a graduate of Manchester Metropolitan University and has been with the firm since 2007. As the Practice Manager and Director it's her job to deal with the day-to-day administration of the firm and to assist with the planning, budgets, recruitment, financial control and the implementation of Practice Policy to ensure the general smooth-running of the firm.


    When she's not organising things at work she enjoys spending time with her family and is training for a half marathon with her running club.

    Marcia works in the Wills and Probate Department and is also a Director of the company. She started work as work experience in November 2002 and qualified as a fellow in 2011. Marcia is a full member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners).


    Marcia advises on making a Will including severing the joint tenancy on property, obtaining a grant of probate/letters of administration, administration of estates, transferring property, powers of attorney, court of protection work, deeds of trust and deeds of veriation.


    In her spare time, she enjoys spending time socialising with friends and family, going to the gym, country walks and planning holidays.

    Tracey has been a Conveyancing Executive for over 25 years which has given her a wealth of experience in the property sector around Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire which she utilizes to give her clients the best possible advice.


    Tracey prides herself on being friendly and approachable and has many clients that return to her year after year. When Tracey is out of the office she enjoys travelling, horse riding and watching her favourite football team.

    CILEX Conveyancing Practitioner, joined Smalleys  in June 2005 as the Office junior and has worked her way up through the ranks. With the team's encouragement over the years, she progressed to Paralegal and has trained to qualify as a Conveyancing Practitioner. She deals with all aspects of residential conveyancing under the supervision of Lisa and Tracey.

    Helen is a solicitor and Associate in our Family Department, who qualified in 1993 and has spent her career dealing with a wide range of family law issues in the Nottinghamshire area. Helen therefore has a wealth of experience in dealing with divorce, finances and children disputes [and is a member of Resolution, committing to resolving cases in a conciliatory and non-confrontational way where possible]


     


    Helen is also studying part-time for a degree in counselling and psychotherapy, a field she became interested in through her experience of helping clients through the difficulties of separation and divorce.


     


    In her spare time, Helen enjoys singing acapella harmony, running and watching her favourite local football team!
