Joint Tenants or Tenants in Common – property ownership

Most couples who jointly own a home will find that their ‘share’ of the house will automatically go to the other party in the event of their death under a ‘Joint Tenancy’ agreement. If you’d prefer others to benefit instead (such as children or other family members), or shelter your share of a property from a call on a partner’s care fees we can change the ownership to ‘Tenants in Common’, all at a fixed price.

Worried about care fees eating into your legacy?

If you are confused about funding for nursing homes and are concerned about your assets (such as your house) being used to fund care, we can offer advice. We are more than happy to help you negotiate this potential minefield and can visit you at home if you’re unable to come and see us.

Please contact our friendly team to receive practical, easy to understand advice that could save you and your family a fortune.
